Terms of Use

The Alumni Web is a tool provided by The J. David Gladstone Institutes to facilitate communication among current and former staff members. Gladstone will never sell, rent, or otherwise provide this list to third parties. By using the Alumni Web, you agree to the following Terms of Use Policy:

You understand that all information, data, text, messages, or other materials ("Content"), whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, are solely your responsibility. This means that you, and not Gladstone, are entirely responsible for all Content that you post, transmit or otherwise provide via the Alumni Web. Gladstone shall have the right in their sole discretion to refuse, remove, or modify for any reason any Content that is available via the Alumni Web including, but not limited to, it being found to be offensive, indecent, objectionable, or inaccurate.

You agree to not use the Alumni Web to:

• impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity;

• upload, post, transmit or otherwise provide any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of unauthorized solicitation;

• upload, post, transmit or otherwise provide any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy, interfere with or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware ;

• "stalk" or otherwise harass another;

Gladstone does not screen, approve, review, or endorse any of the views, opinions, or recommendations expressed in communication forums provided through the Alumni Web. Any person who violates any provision of this Terms of Use Policy may be have his/her access to the Alumni Web suspended or terminated at the sole discretion of Gladstone.

You may terminate your member account and your access to the Alumni Web by submitting an email request to alumni@gladstone.ucsf.edu.

Privacy Policy

Gladstone is committed to preserving the privacy of current and former staff members and alumni.

The information contained in the Alumni Web will not be used for any commercial or philanthropic purpose not directly connected with or approved by Gladstone; nor will copies be made; nor will the original information or facsimile be given, lent, or sold to any other individual or organization.

Your email address may be used for periodic, general Gladstone or Alumni Web email announcements and updates. You may opt-out of any or all email announcement lists, unless the database administrators consider the messages' content to be essential to the operation and functionality of the Alumni Web.

We provide you with the means to ensure that your personal information is correct and current. You may review and update this information at any time under the “Your Profile” section of the Alumni Web.
