Faculty Position: HIV Virology or Immunology
PhD and/or MD scientists with demonstrated research interests and accomplishments in the field of HIV virology or immunology or closely related disciplines, coupled with a strong record of scientific achievement, are invited to apply for a faculty position at the Assistant/Associate/Full Investigator level within the Gladstone Institute of Virology and Immunology, and a comparable Assistant/Associate/Full Professorship at UCSF. The successful candidate will receive ongoing salary and research support from the Gladstone Institutes and laboratory and will join an interactive group of investigators in Gladstone’s state-of-the-art research facility at UCSF’s Mission Bay campus. Cardiac Stem Cell and Development Biology
Applicant should have an interest in developing and leveraging knowledge of cardiac differentiation using a diverse array of technologies including use of stem cell biology. The applicant may have a background in cardiogenesis or in stem cell biology. An establised Stem Cell core facility exists at Gladstone. The successful applicant will also be a member of the new Program in Developmental and Stem Cell Biology and the Cardiovascular Research Institute at UCSF.

Cardiovascular Genetics
Applicant should have the skills to apply modern tools of human genetics toward an understanding of cardiovascular disease. Scientists studying genetics of complex traits including, but no limited to, atherosclerosis, hypertension, heart failure, metabolic disorders or congenital diseases will be considered. An established genomics core is present at Gladstone and extensive core facilities for genomics and human genetics exist at UCSF. The successful applicant will be a part of the UCSF Center of Human Genetics and the Cardiovascular Research Institute. Candidates may be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.
