Postdoctoral Fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. Warner Greene to study the pathogenic interplay of HIV with the cells of the immune system. Research focuses on HIV virus/host-cell interactions, innate cellular immunity and HIV accessory proteins. More detailed descriptions of these studies can be found on our website [click here]. Candidates should posses a Ph.D., M.D. or both and have a strong publication record. Experience in virology, molecular biology and/or immunology is required. Please send Curriculum Vitae and the names of 3 references with contact information to Dr. Warner Greene.

Postdoctoral Fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. Warner Greene to focus on the role of the transcription factor NF-?B. Regarded as transcriptional "master-regulators", this family of enhancer binding proteins plays a significant functional role in a variety of normal responses and disease states. Current studies involve both the regulation and role of these factors in immune cells, HIV latency, and neuronal signaling. More detailed descriptions of these studies can be found on our website. Candidates should posses a Ph.D. or M.D. or both. Applicants should have a strong publication record. Experience in cell biology, immunology and molecular biology is desirable. Please send Curriculum Vitae and the names and contact information of 3 references to Dr. Warner Greene.

Postdoctoral Fellowship available in the laboratory of Dr. Yadong Huang the Gladstone Institute of Neurological Disease/University of California, San Francisco to study molecular pathogenesis of neurodegenerative disorders, focusing on Alzheimer’s disease, in cell and mouse models. More detailed descriptions of these studies can be found by click here. Candidates should possess a Ph.D., M.D., or both and have a strong training background in molecular and cellular biology and animal studies. Please send Curriculum Vitae and the names and contact information of 3 references.

Postdoctoral Fellowship available in the research group of Dr. Katherine Pollard at the Gladstone Institutes at University of California, San Francisco. We recently developed a computational approach to detect rapidly evolving genomic regions and applied it to identify the elements of the human genome that have diverged most since our common ancestor with chimps. The successful candidate will take a lead role in an NIH-funded project to extend these comparative genomic methods to study lineage-specific evolution in vertebrates and possibly other phylogenies. The applicant must have a PhD in (bio)statistics, applied math, computer science, bioinformatics, or a related field, with experience analyzing genomic data. Ability to program (e.g. in R, C, Perl) is essential. Candidates interested in doing some experimental work are invited to apply – opportunities may be available in the labs of collaborators. Please send CV (including record of peer-reviewed publication), cover letter describing current research activity, and the names and email addresses of three references to katherine.pollard@gladstone.ucsf.edu.
