We use a comprehensive battery of tests to assess nervous system functions in mouse models of human neurological diseases. Functions assessed include developmental milestones, muscle strength, motor coordination, balance, touch sensation, olfaction, vision, hearing, emotionality, exploration, and spatial as well as nonspatial learning and memory.
The following experimental paradigms are available in the laboratory:
- Basic Neurological Screening
- Rotarod
- Startle Threshold
- Open Field
- Elevated Plus Maze
- Novel Object Recognition
- Water Maze
- Passive Avoidance
