Bay Area RNA Club
Members of nearly 40 laboratories working on RNA research gather to hear three informal talks by participating labs; held the first Thursday of every month from 6:30–9:30 p.m. in Health Sciences West (HSW) 302 on the UCSF campus.

Biochemistry and Biophysics Seminar
Formal presentations by faculty or guest speakers organized by the UCSF Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics; held every Tuesday from 4:00–5:00 p.m. in Genentech Hall auditorium.

Biology of Aging Journal Club
The Hillblom Center for the Biology of Aging, along with the Training Grant for Aging and Neurodegenerative Disorders, hosts a journal club on the basic biology of aging and age-related disease every Friday from 1:00-2:30 p.m. in Room GH S336A of Genentech Hall at Mission Bay. Lunch is served.

BMS Journal Club
Journal club of the UCSF Biomedical Sciences (BMS) Program; held every Wednesday from 12:30–1:30 p.m. in the 4th floor conference room of San Francisco General Hospital Medical Center Building 40. Articles from any area of biomedicine are discussed in two half-hour presentations by graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty.

CVRI Lecture
Formal presentations by faculty or guest speakers organized by the UCSF Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI); every Monday from 4: 00–5:30 p.m. on the UCSF Parnassus campus (room varies).

Frontiers in Neurology and Neuroscience
Lectures by faculty or guest speakers focusing on neurological diseases and their treatment; organized by the UCSF Department of Neurology. Lectures are held every other Wednesday from 5:00–6:00 p.m. in the N-217 auditorium of the School of Nursing on the UCSF Parnassus campus.

Gladstone Institute of Cardiovascular Disease Scientists Meeting
Beginning January 28, 2005:
Informal seminars focusing on research progress in cardiovascular disease given by graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, or investigators of the Gladstone Institute of Cadiovascular Disease; held every Friday at 9:00 a.m. in conference rooms C & D on the 1st floor of the Gladstone Building, 1650 Owens Street, Mission Bay.

Gladstone Institute of Cardiovascular Disease Seminar
Formal presentations focusing on topics related to cardiovascular disease given by guest speakers and candidates for postdoctoral fellowships; held from 12:00–1:00 p.m. in the 4th floor conference room of San Francisco General Hospital Medical Center Building 40 (day varies).

Gladstone Institute of Neurological Disease Seminar
Presentations focusing on research in disease-related neuroscience given by graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, or investigators of the Gladstone Institute of Neurological Disease or guest speakers; held every Thursday from 9:00–10:00 a.m. in the Mahley Auditorium at the Gladstone Institutes, 1650 Owens Street, Mission Bay.

Gladstone Institute of Virology and Immunology Seminar
Presentations focusing on research progress in virology and immunology, including HIV and AIDS, given by national and international speakers, alternating with presentations by members of the Gladstone Institute of Virology and Immunology; held every Thursday, 12:00–1:00 p.m. in the Mahley Auditorium at the Gladstone Institutes, 1650 Owens Street, Mission Bay.

Microbiology and Immunology Seminar
Formal presentations by faculty or guest speakers organized by the UCSF Department of Microbiology and Immunology; normally held every Monday from 5:00–6:00 p.m. in HSW-301 on the UCSF Parnassus campus and broadcast to the 5th floor library of San Francisco General Hospital Medical Center Building 3 and to the 4th floor conference room of San Francisco General Hospital Medical Center Building 40.

Neuroscience Journal Club
Journal club of the UCSF Neuroscience Program; held every Friday at 5:00 p.m. in N-217 on the UCSF Parnassus campus (Spring 2005 location TBA). Articles from any area of neuroscience are discussed in two half-hour presentations by graduate students and faculty. Refreshments are served after the meeting.

Neuroscience Seminar
Formal presentations by guest speakers focusing on basic neuroscience; held every Thursday at 4:00 p.m. in Genentech Hall at Mission Bay. Spring 2005 location TBA.

PCMM/BMS Seminar
Lectures of the UCSF Program in Cellular and Molecular Medicine (PCMM) are given by faculty of the BMS Program or by guest speakers from any area of biomedicine. Schedule pending.

PIBS Journal Club
Journal club of the UCSF Program in Biological Sciences (PIBS); held every Wednesday from 2:00–3:30 p.m. in the N-217 auditorium of the School of Nursing on the UCSF Parnassus campus. Signaling Club
Informal presentations held on the first Tuesday of every month in the Comero room at the Parnassus Campus, and the following Wednesday at Rock Hall auditorium at Mission Bay. Research on signaling is discussed in two half-hour presentations by graduate students or postdoctoral fellows.
